Hormone therapy
Our hormone therapy services are designed to help regulate and optimize hormone levels to promote physical, emotional and mental well-being. Here's an overview of our services:
First appointment
This is a one-hour meeting shared between our nurse clinician and our nurse practitioner (NP). Our nurse clinician will take the time to complete your full medical summary and listen to your concerns.
Next, your NP will review everything with you, answer all your questions, and provide education related to hormone therapy.
She will also conduct a basic physical exam and a gynecological exam if needed.
You will leave this appointment with a request for a complete blood test and/or any necessary exams for a better understanding of your health status.
Between Appointments
You can have the requested tests done at the location that suits you best, either privately or publicly, and the results will be sent to us by fax/mail. The time frame can vary depending on the chosen location.
After receiving the results, you will receive an email to schedule the follow-up appointment via the online portal or by phone. Make sure you have access to the Myle/Medfar portal. The portal lets us send you messages, requests, and a copy of your results securely. This process will be followed before each follow-up appointment.
Follow-up appointment
Your nurse practitioner will explain the results of your exams. You will discuss the recommended treatments and be invited to ask all your questions.
You will leave this appointment with a prescription for your treatment, if indicated, and a new request for tests to be completed before the next follow-up. This should take place about 3 months later. It allows us to assess the progress of your symptoms and ensure optimal treatment.
Know that at any time during your hormonal journey with us, our nurse clinician remains available to answer your questions and concerns. She will also conduct a follow-up two weeks after the start of your hormone therapy.
